October 2023

Features Added:

AI "Visualize" for Ideas/Survey Text

Purpose: In addition to "Summarize" and "Custom" we've added a third AI button for ideas/survey text called "Visualize". The Visualize process takes a set of open text data and has AI generate a bar chart visualize that best represents the data. Below is process/some results:

Step 1: On any ideas/survey activity click the horizontal ellipsis next to "Summarize" and then click the "Visualize" option

"Visualize" results
Charts can be exported in a variety of ways

Show AI Results to Observers and/or Participants

Purpose: We had already added the ability to show AI results on any Ideas/Survey open text activity to participants but there was a desire to only observers on the session. To resolve this we now have checkbox options for the ability to realtime show observers and/or participants.

Step 1: Run any AI analysis ( summarize, visualize, custom ) on any Ideas/Survey activity open text question.

Step 2: Check desired options of Show To: Participants/Observers. Participants/Observers will see the AI results in the same area you do as soon as you select the option.

Categorization Activity Type

Purpose: To make the categorization process simpler we have created a new "Categorization" activity type as a stand alone activity. This activity type can then be linked to Rate/Select activity types. Previously we used the Ideas activity type for this process but it was a bit confusing having that activity type used for multiple purposes.

Step 1: Choose "Categorization" from activity types

Step 2: Link the created Categorization activity to the desired Rate/Select activity

Thats it, now any ideas added to the "Categorization — 2023 Positives" activity above will transfer to the linked "2023 Positives Assessment" activity

Categorization Process Enhancement

Purpose: In order for the facilitator to be able to categorize by themselves on one screen we needed a way to "split" the screen into the main ideas on the left side and the active categorization on the right. NOTE: You can still perform this categorization directly from the Categorization activity as well... this is simply a way for the facilitator to do it on their one screen if they are running the session by themselves.

Step 1: Click on "Categorize" within an Ideas activity. This will bring up a split screen with the raw ideas on the left and the active categorization on the right.

Step 2: There are currently two courses of action here the facilitator can take to "categorize" the raw ideas.

  • Option 1: Facilitator manually types or uses the dictation tool ( microphone icon button to left of input field ) to fill up the categorized ideas list. They can view the raw list on the left and start adding ideas on the right
  • Option 2: Facilitator waits until the ideas have majority been entered. They then press the "AI Categorize" button on the right side and let AI come up with the categorized ideas.

Step 3: Once the facilitator is satisfied with the categorized list, transfer the categorized ideas into the categorization activity. That categorization activity may or may not be linked to another rate/select activity as shown in the categorization activity info above.

Thats it, once you add them here those ideas will show up in the categorization you selected and will transfer over to the linked activity if you linked that categorization.
